Just In: Herdsmen Kidnap Priest, Pregnant Wife, Children and Friend in Delta

Few days after Mr. Patrick was machetedto death in his farmland by some hoodlums suspected to be herdsmen at Ughelli area of Delta State, an Anglican Priest on Friday was kidnapped alongside his pregnant wife, children and a friend while tilling the soil on his farm land. 

According to an indigene, the priest had during the lockdown gone to his farm with his family to fend for what the family will eat when later in the day, it was discovered that they had been kidnapped by suspected herdsmen. It would be note worthy farmers are among nose exempted by the Delta State Government to carry out their activities interrupted.

A source in Issele-Mkpitime, Aniocha North of Delta State where the incident took place revealed that the wife and children of the Priest have been released while the were instructed by the Kidnappers to go sort for ransom in other to get the release the Priest and his friend who are the natives of the community.

On approaching the police, Onome Onovwakpoyeya the State Police Public Relation confirms this issue adding that "police officers hace  currently been dispersed and they are doing a thorough searching now" in other to get the kidnappers apprehended and get the priest and his friend released.
